Mission Statement: Loving children to Jesus for the purpose of knowing Him as Savior & Lord. With adult guidance we spiritually nurture, disciple, and instruct children through formal and informal ways. To provide children and adults opportunities to serve God, community, and the church with Christlikeness.

SOAKED 4 Jesus (S4J) is River of Life’s Children’s Ministry for ages Infant through 5th grade. We believe your children need a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment allowing opportunity to grow and experience relational and spiritual interaction with God and others.

Infant: Gospel Light's Baby Beginnings
2 years old - 5th grade Kidzana

S4J BasicsWednesday Night Program 6:00pm-8pm
S4J Basic
Program led by John & Cindy Hassen
Worship, drama, story telling, crafts, games, offering and prayer.
Curriculum: Answers for Kids
Our Wednesday nights S4J Basics (Kindergarten – 5th grade) will have a “Kickoff” Wednesday, August 31, from 6:15pm - 8pm. Parents are welcome to attend!

MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers)


The new MOPS season will begin September 1, 2011 – May 17, 2012. You may register by calling Linda Ferry at River of Life Ministries (319-393-3709). lferry@riveroflife.org

Upcoming Events: This summer the 1st & 3rd Thursdays from 10am -12pm we will meet at Tucker Park in Hiawatha for some “fun in the sun” with other moms and children. This is a nice park with a splash pad, shady play area, and walking trail. Hope you can come.

Family Sunday: On the last Sunday of every month we have Family Sunday, where children, with the exception of the children 3 years and younger (Lil’ Beginners & 2’s, 3’s), attend the morning service as a family.

We also have Baby/Child Dedications on this last Sunday of each month. If you would like your baby/child dedicated, please call the Church Office and make an appointment to meet with Pastor Steve no later the Friday before the last Sunday of the month (393-3709). Also on Family Sunday: River of Life Family Pot-Bless/Picnics
