Come Rest “Ten Days of Awe” and Solemn Assembly
:Are you weary from sin? Do you want a fresh start for you and our city? Come Rest Ministries invites you to seek the Lord in repentance, prayer, and fasting for ten days from September 29 to October 8.

This is the Jewish observance known as "Ten Days of Awe" which begins on Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and ends on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement).

These ten days are precious to the Lord. The Holy Spirit will move powerfully if we truly repent from our sins and make real changes to live for Jesus. Join us in a 10 day “Daniel fast” eating only vegetables, fruits, and whole grains while spending at least an hour of personal quiet time before the Lord each day. We invite you to join us each night Sept. 29- Oct 6 from 7-8pm for an heartfelt hour of prayer at our Rehoboth retreat house at 2125 Bever Ave SE. On Friday Oct. 8 at 6:29pm (sundown) at the River of Life sanctuary we will host a three hour Solemn Assembly of Spirit-led worship and repentance before the Lord to begin Yom Kippur. Our target is the Lord’s heart. We must have more of Him. We are seeking breakthroughs and breakouts beyond the four walls of our church buildings to really reach the lost and broken for Him! We will rend our hearts--tear our hearts open to be filled by His Spirit to transform our nation. Our God is an awesome God. Start living like it. Join us.

Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. “Even now,” declares the LORD, return to Me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your hearts and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity” ( Joel 1:14;2:12-13).
